Government of Maldives कडून मंत्री मरियम शिउना यांनी भारताचे पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्याविरूद्ध आक्षेपार्ह वक्तव्यांवर प्रतिक्रिया समोर आली आहे. त्यांच्या परिपत्रकानुसार, सोशल मीडीयावर प्रतिष्ठीत अधिकारी आणि नेत्यांवर करण्यात आलेली वक्तव्यं ही त्यांची वैयक्तिक वक्तव्य आहेत. ही सरकारी विचारांशी मिळती जुळती नाहीत. दरम्यान अशा वक्तव्यांवर कारवाई करण्यास मागे पुढे पाहिले जाणार नाही. दरम्यान सोशल मीडीया वरही 'बॉयकॉट मालदिव्ह' असे हॅशटॅग ट्रेंड होत होते.
