'कमिशन फॉर सायंटिफिक अँड टेक्निकल टर्मिनोलॉजी' हे 10 भारतीय भाषांमध्ये तांत्रिक आणि वैज्ञानिक शब्दावली तयार करण्यासाठी जोरदार प्रयत्न करत आहेत.
केंद्रीय शिक्षण मंत्रालयाच्या अधिपत्याखाली काम करणारे, 'कमिशन फॉर सायंटिफिक अँड टेक्निकल टर्मिनोलॉजी' हे 10 भारतीय भाषांमध्ये तांत्रिक आणि वैज्ञानिक शब्दावली तयार करण्यासाठी जोरदार प्रयत्न करत आहेत. 21 डिसेंबर 1960 रोजी भारत सरकारच्या ठरावाद्वारे घटनेच्या कलम 344 च्या कलम (4) च्या तरतुदीनुसार वैज्ञानिक आणि तांत्रिक शब्दावली आयोगाची स्थापना करण्यात आली होती. सीएसटीटी तीन ते चार महिन्यांत प्रत्येक भाषेतील 5,000 शब्दांसह मूलभूत शब्दकोष तयार करेल. हे डिजिटल, शोधण्यायोग्य स्वरूपात आणि विनामूल्य उपलब्ध असतील. प्रत्येक भाषेत सुमारे 1,000-2,000 प्रती छापल्या जातील.
