आशिया कप 2023 च्या फायनलमध्ये श्रीलंकेविरुद्ध मोहम्मद सिराजची (Mohammed Siraj) तुफानी गोलंदाजी पाहून जग थक्क झाले. सिराजने 7 षटकात 21 धावा देत 6 बळी घेतले. या शानदार गोलंदाजीसाठी सिराजला सामनावीराचा पुरस्कार देण्यात आला, मात्र त्यानंतर त्याने मन जिंकले. सिराजने मैदानावरील कर्मचाऱ्यांना सामनावीर पुरस्कार देण्याची घोषणा केली. सिराजला दिलेली रक्कम ग्राऊंड स्टाफकडे सुपूर्द केली जाईल. या स्पर्धेत उत्कृष्ट काम केल्याबद्दल श्रीलंकेच्या ग्राउंड स्टाफला US$50,000 चा धनादेश सुपूर्द करण्यात आला. नॅशनल क्युरेटर गॉडफ्रे डबरे यांनी हा पुरस्कार संकलित केला.
