Powai Lake: मुंबईकरांसाठी गुड न्यूज; पवई तलाव पूर्ण भरुन वाहू लागला (See Photos)

सध्या महाराष्ट्रामध्ये पावसाचा जोर चांगलाच वाढला आहे. मुंबईमध्ये गेले काही दिवस मुसळधार पाऊस पडत आहे. अशात मुंबईकरांसाठी गुड न्यूज आहे. मुंबई महानगरपालिका क्षेत्रातील कृत्रिम तलावांपैकी एक महत्त्वाचा तलाव असणारा,  बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिकेचा पवई तलाव आज सायंकाळी 6.15 वाजताच्या सुमारास पूर्ण भरुन वाहू लागला. 545 कोटी लीटर एवढी जलधारण क्षमता असणाऱ्या या तलावाचे पाणी हे मानवाला पिण्यायोग्य नसल्याने प्रामुख्याने औद्योगिक वापरासाठी वापरली जाते. गेल्या काही दिवसात या तलावाच्या पाणलोट क्षेत्रात झालेल्या पावसामुळे हा तलाव भरून वाहू लागला आहे.
