Ban on Gutka-Tobacco in Delhi: दिल्लीत गुटखा, तंबाखूवर बंदी; उच्च न्यायालयाने कायम ठेवली सरकारी अधिसूचना

राजधानी दिल्लीत गुटखा, पान मसाला आणि फ्लेवर्ड तंबाखूवर बंदी घालण्यात येणार आहे. दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालयाने राजधानीत तंबाखू, पान मसाला, गुटखा आणि तत्सम उत्पादनांच्या निर्मिती, साठवणूक, वितरण आणि विक्रीवर बंदी घालणारी अधिसूचना कायम ठेवली आहे. दिल्लीत सार्वजनिक ठिकाणी तंबाखूच्या वापरावर आधीच बंदी आहे. यासाठी केंद्र सरकारने सन 2003 मध्ये सिगारेट आणि इतर तंबाखू उत्पादने (जाहिरात प्रतिबंध आणि व्यापार आणि वाणिज्य उत्पादन, पुरवठा आणि वितरण नियमन) कायदा (COTPA) आणला. या अंतर्गत रुग्णालये, संस्था, सार्वजनिक कार्यालये, कार्यालये अशा तंबाखूच्या वापरावर बंदी घालण्यात आली आहे. याचे उल्लंघन केल्यास 200 रुपये दंडाचीही तरतूद आहे.
