न्यूझीलंडमधील (New Zealand) वेलिंग्टन येथे मंगळवारी एका चार मजली वसतिगृहाला लागलेल्या आगीत किमान दहा जणांचा मृत्यू झाला. दरम्यान, चार मजली इमारतीच्या तिसऱ्या मजल्यावर आग लागल्याने लोफर्स लॉज वसतिगृहात सकाळी 12.30 वाजता आपत्कालीन सेवांना पाचारण करण्यात आले. न्यूझीलंड हेराल्डच्या रिपोर्टनुसार 20 लोक अजूनही बेपत्ता आहेत. न्यूझीलंडचे पंतप्रधान ख्रिस हिपकिन्स यांनी या घटने बद्दल शोक व्यक्त केला आहे.
