इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2021 च्या सुरुवाती पूर्वीच सहभागी होणाऱ्या खेळाडूंपैकी बऱ्याच जणांना कोरोनाची लागण झाली आहे आणि यात आता रॉयल चॅलेंजर्स बेंगलोरचा अष्टपैलू क्रिकेटपटू डॅनियल सॅम्स याची भर पडली आहे. त्याला इतर खेळाडूंपासून वेगळे विलिगीकरणात ठेवण्यात आले आहे. यापूर्वी संघाचा सलामी फलंदाज देवदत्त पडिक्क्लही कोरोना पॉझिटिव्ह आढळला होता.
इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (Indian Premier League) 2021 च्या सुरुवाती पूर्वीच सहभागी होणाऱ्या खेळाडूंपैकी बऱ्याच जणांना कोरोनाची लागण झाली आहे आणि यात आता रॉयल चॅलेंजर्स बेंगलोरचा (Royal Challengers Bangalore) अष्टपैलू क्रिकेटपटू डॅनियल सॅम्स (Daniel Sams) याची भर पडली आहे. बेंगलोर फ्रँचायझीने दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, डॅनियल 3 एप्रिल रोजी चेन्नई येथे संघात सहभागी होता. त्यावेळी त्याचा कोरोना अहवाल निगेटिव्ह आला होता मात्र बुधवार, 7 एप्रिल रोजी झालेल्या दुसऱ्या टेस्टचा अहवाल पॉझिटिव्ह आढळला आहे त्यामुळे त्याला इतर खेळाडूंपासून वेगळे विलिगीकरणात ठेवण्यात आले आहे. यापूर्वी संघाचा सलामी फलंदाज देवदत्त पडिक्क्लही (Devdutt Padikkal) कोरोना पॉझिटिव्ह आढळला होता.
Official Statement: Daniel Sams checked into the team hotel in Chennai on April 3rd, with a negative COVID report on arrival. His report from the 2nd test on 7th April came positive. Sams is currently asymptomatic and he is currently in isolation at a designated medical facility.
