सहारनपूर जिल्ह्यात बुधवारी संध्याकाळी दलित नेते आणि आझाद समाज पक्षाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष चंद्रशेखर आझाद यांच्यावर अज्ञात हल्लेखोरांनी गोळ्या झाडून हल्ला केला. अचानक घडलेल्या या घटनेने परिसरात घबराट निर्माण झाली आहे. चंद्रशेखर आझाद सुरक्षित असल्याचे जिल्ह्याचे एसएसपी विपिन तांडा यांनी सांगितले. ते म्हणाले, ‘सुमारे अर्ध्या तासापूर्वी हल्लेखोरांनी चंद्रशेखर यांच्या ताफ्यावर गोळीबार केला. त्यांची प्रकृती ठीक असून त्यांना उपचारासाठी रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले आहे. पोलीस या प्रकरणाचा तपास करत आहेत.’ सध्या जखमी चंद्रशेखर आझाद यांचा रुग्णालयातील व्हिडीओ व्हायरल होत आहे. माहितीनुसार हेल्लेखोरांच्या गाडीचा क्रमांक हरियाणाचा होता. ही घटना घडली तेव्हा आझाद यांच्या गाडीत एकूण पाच जण होते.
