Monkeypox Outbreak: मंकीपॉक्सचा उद्रेक असामान्य आणि चिंताजनक; पुढील आठवड्यात आणीबाणी समितीची बैठक- WHO

अनेक देशांमध्ये मंकीपॉक्सच्या वाढत्या प्रकरणांच्या दरम्यान, डब्ल्यूएचओ (WHO) या महामारीशी दोन हात करण्याची तयारी करत आहे. याबाबत डब्ल्यूएचओने तातडीची बैठक बोलावण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. डब्लूएचओचे संचालक डॉ. टेड्रोस अधोनम यांनी सांगितले की, मंकीपॉक्सचा उद्रेक असामान्य आणि चिंताजनक आहे. हा उद्रेक आंतरराष्ट्रीय चिंतेची ‘सार्वजनिक आरोग्य आणीबाणी’ आहे की नाही याचे मूल्यांकन करण्यासाठी पुढील आठवड्यात आंतरराष्ट्रीय आरोग्य नियमांअंतर्गत आणीबाणी समितीची बैठक बोलावण्याचे ठरवले आहे.
