राहुल गांधी यांचे संसद सदस्यत्व रद्द करत लोकसभा सचिवालयाने आज त्यांचे सदस्यत्व रद्द करण्याची अधिसूचना जारी केली आहे. गुरुवारी (23 मार्च) सुरत न्यायालयाने त्यांना मानहानीच्या प्रकरणात दोषी ठरवून दोन वर्षांचा कारावास आणि 15,000 रुपयांचा दंड ठोठावला. एक दिवसापूर्वी, गुजरातमधील सुरत न्यायालयाने राहुल गांधींना त्यांच्या विधानासाठी दोन वर्षांच्या तुरुंगवासाची शिक्षा सुनावली होती आणि उच्च न्यायालयात आव्हान देण्यासाठी 30 दिवसांची मुदतही दिली होती.
