आतापासून कोणतेही रेस्टॉरंट आणि हॉटेल त्यांच्या ग्राहकांना सेवा देण्यासाठी सेवा शुल्क आकारू शकत नाहीत.
केंद्रीय ग्राहक संरक्षण प्राधिकरणाने (CCPA) दिलासा देणारी घोषणा केली आहे. CCPA ने रेस्टॉरंट आणि हॉटेल्समधील सेवा शुल्काबाबत नवीन मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वे जारी केली आहेत. आता तुमच्या बिलात सर्व्हिस चार्ज जोडून येणार नाही. मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वांनुसार, आतापासून कोणतेही रेस्टॉरंट आणि हॉटेल त्यांच्या ग्राहकांना सेवा देण्यासाठी सेवा शुल्क आकारू शकत नाहीत. मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वांनुसार, सेवा शुल्क भरावे की नाही हे ग्राहकांवर अवलंबून असेल, यासाठी रेस्टॉरंट ग्राहकांना कोणत्याही प्रकारे जबरदस्ती करू शकत नाही. अशाप्रकारे इथुंपुढे सेवा शुल्क हे अन्न बिलासह जोडून आणि एकूण रकमेवर जीएसटी लागू करून वसूल केले जाणार नाही.
