रविवारी रात्री केरळच्या Malappuram भागात एक प्रवासी डबलडेकर बोट उलटल्याची घटना समोर आली आहे. या घटनेला 12 तास उलटून गेले आहे. मात्र अद्यापही स्थानिक आणि एनडीआरएफ कडून बचावकार्य सुरू असल्याची माहिती देण्यात आली आहे. आतापर्यंत 21 जणांचा यामध्ये मृत्यू झाला आहे. या घटनेनंतर बोटीच्या मालकाविरुद्ध सदोष हत्येचा गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे.
