Ads of Betting Sites: सट्टेबाजीच्या जाहिराती दाखवल्यास होऊ शकते कारवाई; केंद्राचा OTT आणि डिजिटल मीडिया प्लॅटफॉर्मला सल्ला
सरकारच्या सल्ल्याचे पालन न केल्यास लागू कायद्यांतर्गत दंडात्मक कारवाई करण्यात येईल, असे त्यात म्हटले आहे.
भारत सरकार सट्टेबाजीच्या जाहिरातींवर कठोर भूमिका घेत आहे. केंद्राने नवीन वेबसाइट्स, OTT प्लॅटफॉर्म, न्यूज वेबसाइट्स आणि खाजगी उपग्रह टीव्ही चॅनेलना बेटिंग साइट्सच्या जाहिराती प्रसारित न करण्यास सांगितले आहे. या संदर्भात माहिती आणि प्रसारण मंत्रालयाने (I&B) एक सूचना जारी केली आहे. मंत्रालयाने नेटफ्लिक्स, हॉटस्टार आणि अॅमेझॉन प्राइम व्हिडिओ तसेच खाजगी उपग्रह टीव्ही चॅनेल सारख्या ओव्हर-द-टॉप (OTT) प्लॅटफॉर्मवर सट्टेबाजीच्या जाहिराती दाखवण्याविरुद्ध ही कठोर सूचना जारी केली आहे. सरकारच्या सल्ल्याचे पालन न केल्यास लागू कायद्यांतर्गत दंडात्मक कारवाई करण्यात येईल, असे त्यात म्हटले आहे.
