मालदीवचे माजी उपराष्ट्रपती अहमद अदीब अब्दुल गफूर यांना भारतात अटक झाली आहे.
मालदीवचे माजी उपराष्ट्रपती अहमद अदीब अब्दुल गफूर (Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor) यांना भारतात अटक झाली आहे. तामिळनाडूतील (Tamil Nadu) तूतीकोरिन पोर्ट (Tuticorin Port) येथे ही घटना घडली. अहमद अदीब अब्दुल गफूर हे भारतात बेकायदेशीररित्या दाखल होत असल्याचा त्यांच्यावर आरोप करण्यात आला आणि त्यामुळेच त्यांना भारतीय तपास यंत्रणेकडून अटक करण्यात आली आहे. भारतीय परराष्ट्र मंत्रालयाचे प्रवक्ता रवीश कुमार (Raveesh Kumar) यांनी सांगितले की, "याप्रकरणी आम्ही सत्यता तपासण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहोत. आम्ही मालदीव सरकारशी संपर्क करुन या प्रकरणातील सत्यता पडताळून पाहू." (नाट्यमय घडामोडींनतर मालदीवमध्ये सत्तापालट; इब्राहिम सोलिह विजयी)
