Nigeria: उत्तर नायजेरियात एका लग्नातून परतणाऱ्या लोकांना घेऊन जाणारी बोट उलटल्याने जवळपास 103 लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला असून 100 जणांना वाचवण्यात आले आहे. पोलिस आणि स्थानिक नागरिकांनी मंगळवारी ही माहिती दिली. पोलिस प्रवक्ते ओकासान्मी यांनी सांगितले की सोमवारी पहाटे शेजारच्या नायजर राज्यातील क्वारा राज्यातील नायजर नदीत बोट उलटली. स्थानिक रहिवासी उस्मान इब्राहिम यांनी सांगितले की, पीडित महिला आणि मुले नायजर राज्यातील एग्बोटी गावात रात्री चाललेल्या लग्न समारंभातून परतत होते. त्यानंतर बोट उलटली. बोटीत 100 हून अधिक लोक होते. त्यांनी सांगितले की हा अपघात पहाटे 3 च्या सुमारास झाला. अधिकारी आणि स्थानिक अजूनही नदीत आणखी मृतदेहांचा शोध घेत आहेत.
