क्रिप्टो एक्सचेंजवर मोठी कारवाई, Google ने Play Store वरून Binance, Kraken यासह अनेक परदेशी क्रिप्टो अॅप्स काढून टाकले
माहिती तंत्रज्ञान मंत्रालयालाही त्यांचे URL ब्लॉक करण्यास सांगितले होते. वित्त मंत्रालयाचा आरोप आहे की हे क्रिप्टो प्लॅटफॉर्म स्थानिक मनी लाँडरिंग कायद्याचे पालन न करता भारतात बेकायदेशीरपणे कार्यरत आहेत.
क्रिप्टोकरन्सीमध्ये (Cryptocurrency) गुंतवणूक करणाऱ्यांना गुगलने (Google) मोठा धक्का दिला आहे. सरकारच्या सूचनेनंतर गुगलने भारतात कार्यरत विदेशी क्रिप्टोकरन्सी एक्स्चेंजचे मोबाइल अॅप्स प्ले स्टोअरवरून काढून टाकले आहेत. यामध्ये Binance, Kucoin, Huobi, Kraken सारख्या अनेक अॅप्सचा समावेश आहे. यापूर्वी, डिसेंबर 2023 च्या अखेरीस, वित्त मंत्रालयाने बिनन्ससह 9 ऑफशोअर व्हर्च्युअल डिजिटल मालमत्ता सेवा प्रदात्यांना कारणे दाखवा नोटीस पाठवली होती. माहिती तंत्रज्ञान मंत्रालयालाही त्यांचे URL ब्लॉक करण्यास सांगितले होते. वित्त मंत्रालयाचा आरोप आहे की हे क्रिप्टो प्लॅटफॉर्म स्थानिक मनी लाँडरिंग कायद्याचे पालन न करता भारतात बेकायदेशीरपणे कार्यरत आहेत.
