काराकोरम रेंजमध्ये 20 हजार फूट उंचीवर असलेली सियाचीन जगातील सर्वाधिक उंचीवरील युद्धभूमी आहे. अक्षय गवाते हा शहीद झालेला पहिला अग्निवीर आहे.
सियाचिन मध्ये शहीद झालेल्या महाराष्ट्रातील बुलढाण्याच्या शहीद अग्निवीर अक्षय गवाते च्या कुटुंबाला CM Eknath Shinde यांच्याकडून 10 लाखांची मदत जाहीर केली आहे. काराकोरम रेंजमध्ये 20 हजार फूट उंचीवर असलेली सियाचीन जगातील सर्वाधिक उंचीवरील युद्धभूमी आहे. अक्षय गवाते हा शहीद झालेला पहिला अग्निवीर आहे.
