Price Cut In Essential Medicines: 70 अत्यावश्यकऔषधांच्या किंमती होणार कमी; NPPA च्या बैठकीत निर्णय
NPPA हे देशातील औषध नियामक आहेत. देशात औषधांची उपलब्धता, किमती नियंत्रित करणे आणि औषधांमधील भेसळ थांबवणे यासाठी ते काम करत असतात. एनपीपीए ची स्थापना भारत सरकारने 1997 मध्ये रसायन आणि खते मंत्रालयाच्या अंतर्गत केली आहे.
National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority कडून 70 अत्यावश्यक औषधं आणि 4 विशेष औषधांच्या किंमतींमध्ये कपात करण्याचा निर्णय झाला आहे. ही औषधं प्रामुख्याने लाईफस्टाईलशी निगडीत आजारांची आहे.ज्यात पेन किलर, ताप, संसर्ग, डायरिया, मसल्स पेन, अॅन्टिबायोटिक्स, मधूमेह, रक्तदाब आणि हृद्याशी निगडीत आजारांचा संबंध आहे. यासोबत विशेष औषधांमध्ये काही अॅन्टीबायोटिक्स, मल्टिव्हिटॅमिन्स, कॅनसर, मधूमेह आणि हार्ट शी निगडित औषधांचादेखील समावेश आहे. जून 2024 च्या सुरूवातीला सरकारने 54 फॉर्म्युलेशन आणि 8 आवश्यक औषधांच्या किंमती कमी केल्या आहेत.
