देशभरात गाजत असलेल्या हिजाब प्रकरणी कर्नाटक उच्च न्यायालय उद्या निकाल देणार आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर राज्यातील अनेक जिल्ह्यांमध्ये कलम 144 लागू केला आहे. शिवमोग्गा येथे उद्या (15 मार्च) सर्व शाळा आणि महाविद्यालये बंद राहणार आहेत. 21 मार्चपर्यंत जिल्ह्यात कलम 144 लागू करण्यात आले आहे. केएसआरपीच्या 8 कंपन्या, जिल्हा सशस्त्र राखीव दलाच्या 6 कंपन्या, आरएएफची 1 कंपनी तैनात केली आहे. शिवमोग्गा एसपी, बीएम लक्ष्मी प्रसाद यांनी ही माहिती दिली.
तसेच कलबुर्गीचे डीसी यशवंत व्ही गुरुकर यांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, निकालाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर जिल्हा प्रशासनाने आज रात्री 8 ते 19 मार्च सकाळी 6 वाजेपर्यंत कलम 144 लागू केले आहे. उद्या जिल्ह्यातील सर्व शैक्षणिक संस्था बंद राहणार आहेत.
