राष्ट्रकुल क्रीडा स्पर्धेत भारतीय वेटलिफ्टर्सची चमक कायम आहे. गेल्या तीन दिवसांप्रमाणेच सलग चौथ्या दिवशीही भारताला वेटलिफ्टिंगमध्ये आणखी एक पदक मिळाले. भारतासाठी विकास ठाकूरने (Vikas Thakur) हे यश मिळवले. भारताचा हेवीवेट लिफ्टर विकास ठाकूरने पुरुषांच्या 96 किलो वजनी गटात रौप्यपदक जिंकून आपल्या किटीमध्ये आणखी एक राष्ट्रकुल पदक जोडले. अनुभवी ठाकूरने एकूण 346kg उचलून दुसरे स्थान पटकावले. ठाकूरचे हे दुसरे रौप्यपदक होते, 2014 च्या ग्लासगो आवृत्तीतही ते दुसरे स्थान मिळवले होते.
