भारत आणि ऑस्ट्रेलिया यांच्यात 9 फेब्रुवारीपासून चार सामन्यांची कसोटी मालिका (IND vs AUS Test Series) सुरू होणार आहे. त्यासाठी पॅट कमिन्सच्या (Pat Cummins) नेतृत्वाखाली ऑस्ट्रेलियन संघाने बंगळुरूमध्ये सराव सुरू केला आहे, तर रोहित शर्माच्या (Rohit Sharma) नेतृत्वाखाली भारतीय संघ नागपुरात जोरदार सराव करत आहे. बॉर्डर-गावस्कर मालिकेतील पहिला सामना नागपुरातील वदर्भ क्रिकेट असोसिएशनमध्ये 9 ते 13 फेब्रुवारी दरम्यान खेळवला जाणार आहे. त्याचबरोबर गेल्या पाच वर्षांत प्रथमच जामठाच्या विदर्भ स्टेडियमवर कसोटी सामना खेळवला जात आहे. विराट कोहली, रवींद्र जडेजा, रोहित शर्मासह इतर खेळाडूही जोरदार सराव करत आहेत.
