भारताच्या पहिल्या कसोटी संघाचे कर्णधार सी.के. नायडू यांचा जन्म 13 ऑक्टोबर 1895 रोजी नागपूर, महाराष्ट्र येथे झाला. कर्नल कोट्टारी कनकैय्या नायडू यांना प्रेमाने सी.के. म्हणत. भारताच्या पहिल्या कसोटी सामन्यात त्यांनी भारतीय संघाचा कर्णधारपदाची जबाबदारी स्विकारली होती. हा सामना 1932 मध्ये इंग्लंड विरुद्ध खेळला गेला होता. इंग्लंड संघ पूर्णपणे बलाढ्य असला तरी सी.के. नायडू यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली भारतीय संघाने जोरदार मुकाबला केला होता.
