नवरात्रीच्या धार्मिक सणात 'शक्ती' देवीची उपासना केली जात आहे, ज्याला "वन पॉइंट अटेंड आवश्यक आहे आणि ते गोंगाटमय वातावरणात करता येत नाही. त्यामुळे डीजेसारख्या आधुनिक ध्वनी प्रणाली वापरण्याची गरज नाही, असे मत मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाने व्यक्त केले आहे. न्यायमूर्ती सुनील शुक्रे आणि गोविंद सानप यांच्या खंडपीठाने नमूद केले की, नऊ दिवस चालणाऱ्या उत्सवात देवीची पूजा केल्याने भक्ताला त्रास होत असेल किंवा स्वत: भक्ताने इतरांना त्रास होत असेल तर देवीची पूजा करता येणार नाही.
