Maratha Quota Violence: 'पोलिसांनी केलेला लाठीचार्ज योग्य नव्हता, मी सरकारच्या वतीने माफी मागतो'- Devendra Fadnavis
देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी जालना जिल्ह्यातील मराठा आरक्षण आंदोलकांवर केलेल्या लाठीचार्जबद्दल राज्य सरकारला खेद वाटतो असे सांगितले.
सोमवारी मुंबईत मराठा आरक्षणाबाबत झालेल्या बैठकीनंतर महाराष्ट्राचे मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस आणि अजित पवार यांनी एक पत्रकार परिषद घेतली. यावेळी देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी जालना जिल्ह्यातील मराठा आरक्षण आंदोलकांवर केलेल्या लाठीचार्जबद्दल राज्य सरकारला खेद वाटतो असे सांगितले. ते म्हणाले, ‘पोलिसांनी केलेला लाठीचार्ज योग्य नव्हता. मी सरकारच्या वतीने माफी मागतो. याला जे जबाबदार असतील त्यांच्यावर कारवाई केली जाईल, असे मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी सांगितले आहे.’ जालना पोलिसांना लाठीचार्ज करण्याचे आदेश कोणत्याही उच्चपदस्थ अधिकाऱ्याने दिले नसल्याचेही फडणवीस यांनी सांगितले. असे निर्णय (पोलीस बळाचा वापर इ.) स्थानिक पातळीवर घेतले जातात, असेही ते म्हणाले.
