Covid-19: मुंबईमध्ये आढळला ओमायक्रॉनच्या XE व्हेरिएंटचा देशातील पहिला रुग्ण; जाणून घ्या BMC ने केलेली 11 च्या जीनोम सिक्वेन्सिंगचे निकाल

परदेशात कोरोनाच्या नवीन प्रकारांचा उद्रेक होत असून, जूनमध्ये चौथी लाट येण्याची शक्यता तज्ज्ञांनी व्यक्त केली आहे. दरम्यान, बीएमसीने नुकतेच 11 वे  जीनोम सिक्वेन्सिंग केले. या अंतर्गत 300 हून अधिक कोविड रुग्णांचे नमुने तपासणीसाठी पाठवण्यात आले होते. या नमुन्यांचे निकाल समोर आले असून, त्यामध्ये 228 किंवा 99.13% (230 नमुने) ओमायक्रॉन रुग्ण आढळले आहेत. यासह कोविड 19 च्या ओमायक्रॉनचा नवीन व्हेरिएंट एक्सई (XE Variant) चे देशातील पहिले प्रकरण मुंबईमध्ये आढळले आहे. सोबतच एका रुग्णामध्ये कापा (Kapa) हा व्हेरिएंट आढळला आहे.
