महत्वाचे म्हणजे, आपचे प्रमुख अरविंद केजरीवाल यांना नवी दिल्ली मतदारसंघातून भाजपाचे प्रवेश वर्मा यांच्याकडून पराभवाला सामोरे जावे लागले. तसेच, आपचे नेते मनीष सिसोदिया यांनाही जंगपूरा मतदारसंघात भाजपाच्या तर्विंदर सिंग मारवाह यांच्याकडून पराभवाचा सामना करावा लागला.
दिल्ली विधानसभा निवडणुकीत सध्या भारतीय जनता पक्ष आघाडीवर आहे. चालू असलेली मतांची मोजणी आणि ट्रेंड्स पाहता सध्याच्या निवडणुकीत अरविंद केजरीवाल यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील आम आदमी पक्षाला मोठा पराभव पत्करावा लागल्याचे दिसत आहेत. भाजपने 6 जागांवर विजय मिळवत 42 जागांवर आघाडी घेतली आहे. आप 6 जागांवर विजयी व 16 जागांवर आघाडीवर आहे. दिल्लीत सरकार स्थापन करण्यासाठी 36 हा बहुमताचा आकडा आहे. अशात जवळजवळ 27 भाजपा दिल्लीत सत्ता स्थापन करणार असल्याचे चित्र दिसत आहे. महत्वाचे म्हणजे, आपचे प्रमुख अरविंद केजरीवाल यांना नवी दिल्ली मतदारसंघातून भाजपाचे प्रवेश वर्मा यांच्याकडून पराभवाला सामोरे जावे लागले. तसेच, आपचे नेते मनीष सिसोदिया यांनाही जंगपूरा मतदारसंघात भाजपाच्या तर्विंदर सिंग मारवाह यांच्याकडून पराभवाचा सामना करावा लागला. भाजपाच्या या विजयामुळे दिल्लीच्या राजकारणात मोठा बदल घडला आहे, कारण 1998 पासून भाजपाला येथे सत्ता मिळालेली नव्हती.
