Congress to Stage Nationwide Protest: काँग्रेस पक्षाला प्राप्त झालेल्या आयकर नोटिसीच्या विरोधात पक्ष देशव्यापी निदर्शने करणार आहे. शुक्रवारी काँग्रेस पक्षाचे सरचिटणीस केसी वेणुगोपाल यांनी सर्व राज्य घटकांना या मुद्द्यावर शनिवारी सर्व राज्य आणि जिल्हा काँग्रेस कमिटीच्या मुख्यालयात निदर्शने करण्याचे निर्देश दिले आहेत. केसी वेणुगोपाल यांनी एक पत्र जारी केले आहे, ज्यात त्यांनी म्हटले आहे की, लोकसभा निवडणुकीच्या घोषणेला आता एक महिना झाला आहे, आयकर विभागाने गुरुवारी 1823.08 कोटी रुपयांची नोटीस पाठवली, जी स्वीकारार्ह नाही.

वेणुगोपाल यांनी पत्रात असेही म्हटले आहे की, यापूर्वी प्राप्तिकर विभागाने काँग्रेस पक्षाच्या खात्यातून 125 कोटी रुपये जबरदस्तीने काढले होते. ते म्हणाले की, आयकर विभाग आठ वर्षे जुन्या आयकर विवरणपत्रांच्या आधारे दंड आकारत आहे, जे पूर्णपणे चुकीचे आहे.
