Avalanche in Sikkim: सिक्कीममध्ये हिमस्खलन; 6 जणांचा मृत्यू, अनेकजण जखमी, 150 लोक बर्फात अडकल्याची भीती
गंगटोक ते नाथू ला पासला जोडणाऱ्या जवाहरलाल नेहरू मार्गावर दुपारी 12.20 वाजता ही घटना घडली.
सिक्कीमची राजधानी गंगटोकमध्ये मंगळवारी हिमस्खलनाची मोठी घटना घडली. यामध्ये 6 पर्यटकांचा मृत्यू झाला असून 150 लोक बर्फात अडकल्याची माहिती आहे. याशिवाय अन्य 11 जण जखमी झाल्याचे सांगण्यात येत आहे. मृतांमध्ये चार पुरुष, एक महिला आणि एका लहान मुलाचा समावेश आहे. गंगटोक ते नाथू ला पासला जोडणाऱ्या जवाहरलाल नेहरू मार्गावर दुपारी 12.20 वाजता ही घटना घडली. याठिकाणी युद्धपातळीवर बचावकार्य सुरू करण्यात आले आहे. जखमी झालेल्या सहा जणांचा जवळच्या लष्करी रुग्णालयात उपचारादरम्यान मृत्यू झाला. जखमींना उपचारासाठी गंगटोक येथील एसटीएनएम हॉस्पिटल आणि सेंट्रल रेफरल हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल करण्यात आले आहे.
