मतदान झालेल्या राज्यांमध्ये कोविड19 ची सद्यस्थिती पाहता, आयोगाने मतमोजणी दरम्यान आणि नंतर विजयी मिरवणुकांवरील मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वे शिथिल करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. त्याद्वारे विजयी मिरवणुकीवरील बॅंकेट बंदी मागे घेतली आहे. परंतु ही शिथिलता SDMA च्या विद्यमान सूचना आणि संबंधित जिल्हा अधिकाऱ्यांनी लागू केलेल्या प्रतिबंधात्मक उपायांच्या अधीन असेल, असे भारत निवडणूक आयोगाने सांगितले आहे.
