गेल्या वर्षी 19 मे रोजी आरबीआयने 2000 रुपयांच्या नोटा चलनातून काढून घेण्याची घोषणा केली होती.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) ने आज, 1 जुलै, सांगितले की 19 मे 2023 रोजी जेव्हा 2000 रुपयांच्या नोटा काढण्याची घोषणा करण्यात आली तेव्हा त्याचे एकूण मूल्य 3.56 लाख कोटी रुपये होते. 28 जून 2024 रोजी व्यवसाय संपल्यावर तो 7581 कोटी रुपयांवर आला आहे. अशा प्रकारे, 19 मे 2023 पर्यंत चलनात असलेल्या 2000 रुपयांच्या 97.87% नोटा परत आल्या आहेत. मध्यवर्ती बँकेने असेही म्हटले आहे की 2000 रुपयांच्या नोटा कायदेशीर राहतील. उल्लेखनीय आहे की, गेल्या वर्षी 19 मे रोजी आरबीआयने 2000 रुपयांच्या नोटा चलनातून काढून घेण्याची घोषणा केली होती.
