परराष्ट्र व्यवहार मंत्री एस जयशंकर यांनी अधिकृत “मानक नकाशा” जारी केल्याबद्दल चीनचा निषेध केला. ज्यामध्ये भारतीय भूभागाचा समावेश आहे. ही जुनी सवय असल्याचे फेटाळून लावत जयशंकर म्हणाले की, नकाशामध्ये फक्त इतर देशांचे प्रदेश समाविष्ट केल्याने काहीही बदलत नाही.
