Demi Agoglia या 26 वर्षीय ब्रिटिश महिलेला टर्की मध्ये ब्राझिलियन बट लिफ्ट सर्जरी जीवघेणी ठरली आहे. सर्जरी नंतर घरी निघण्यापूर्वी तिला छातीत दुखु लागले होते. नंतर तिला हार्ट अटॅक आला. तिला सीपीआर देऊन वाचवण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात आला मात्र त्यामध्ये यश आले नाही. बट लिफ्ट सर्जरी मध्ये शरीराच्या इतर अवयवातून फॅट्स काढून ते बट्स वर लावून Hourglass आकारात बट्स बनवले जातात. ही फॅट इम्बॉलिझम प्रक्रिया असते. या महिलेचा मृत्यू Fat embolism syndrome मुळे झाल्याचा अंदाज आहे. कारण त्यामध्ये फॅट्सचे कण रक्तवाहिन्यांमध्ये जाऊन रक्तपुरवठा खंडीत होतो.
