अमेरिका, चीन, रशियानंतर चंद्रावर उतरणारा भारत हा चौथा देश असला तरीही चंद्राच्या दक्षिण धुव्रावर सॉफ्ट लॅन्डिंग करणारा भारत पहिलाच देश आहे.
भारताने चंद्राच्या दक्षिण ध्रुवावर सॉफ्ट करत नवा विक्रम रचला आहे. देशात भारतीयांसाठी जसा हा क्षण सोहळ्याचा आणि अभिमानाचा होता तसाच तो परदेशात राहणार्या भारतीयांसाठी देखील आहे. अमेरिकेत न्यूयॉर्क मधील प्रसिद्ध Times Square जवळ अनेक अमेरिकेत स्थित असलेले भारतीय एकत्र जमले होते. त्यांनी तिरंगा फडकवत भारताचं यश सेलिब्रेट केलं आहे. US Vice President Kamala Harris यांनी भारताच्या या कामगिरीचं कौतुक केले आहे.
