अर्जेंटीनाचा (Argentina) स्टार फुटबॉलर लिओनेल मेस्सीने (Lionel Messi) FIFA चा 2022 चा सर्वोत्तम पुरुष खेळाडूचा पुरस्कार (FIFA Best Awards) जिंकला आहे. यावेळी त्याने फ्रांन्सच्या किलीयन एम्बाप्पेला मागे टाकले आहे. तर महिला गटात सलग दुसऱ्या वर्षी स्पेनच्या अलेक्सिया पुटलेसने (Alexia Putellas) सर्वोत्तम महिला खेळाडूचा पुरस्कार आपल्या नावे केला आहे. कतारमध्ये मागच्या वर्षी झालेल्या फुटबॉल विश्वचषकात (FIFA World Cup) लिओनेल मेस्सीच्या मॅजिकल परफोर्मंसमुळे अर्जेटीनाने विश्वचषक जिंकला होता.
