संकेत सरगरने दोन फेऱ्यांच्या 6 प्रयत्नांत पूर्ण ताकद पणाला लावली आणि एकूण 228 किलो वजन उचलून रौप्यपदक जिंकले.
इंग्लंडमधील बर्मिंगहॅम येथे खेळल्या जात असलेल्या 22व्या राष्ट्रकुल क्रीडा स्पर्धेत आज दुसऱ्या दिवशी भारताचे खाते रौप्य पदकाने उघडले आहे. आज भारताला पहिले पदक स्टार वेटलिफ्टर संकेत महादेव सरगरने दिले आहे. पुरुषांच्या 55 किलो वजनी गटाच्या अंतिम फेरीत त्याने ही कामगिरी केली. संकेत सरगरने दोन फेऱ्यांच्या 6 प्रयत्नांत पूर्ण ताकद पणाला लावली आणि एकूण 228 किलो वजन उचलून रौप्यपदक जिंकले.
