मेरीलेबोन क्रिकेट क्लबने (Marylebone Cricket Club) कॅच-आउट आणि मॅनकेडिंगशी संबंधित नियमांमध्ये बदल केले आहेत. आता एखादा फलंदाज झेलबाद झाल्यावर नवीन फलंदाजाला पहिला चेंडू खेळावा लागेल. त्याचवेळी, मॅनकेडिंगला आता रनआऊटचा भाग बनवण्यात आले असून या पद्धतीने बाद होणारा फलंदाज रनआउट समजला जाईल. रनआऊटचा भाग बनवल्याने गोलंदाजांना अशा पद्धतीने विकेट घेणे सोपे जाईल. आता सचिन तेंडूलकरने एमसीसीच्या या नियमांचे स्वागत केले आहे.
सचिनने एक व्हिडीओ पोस्ट करत, ‘क्रिकेट हा एक सुंदर खेळ आहे. तो आम्हाला विद्यमान नियमांना आव्हान देण्यास आणि खेळाचे कायदे सुधारण्यात मदत करण्यास अनुमती देतो. एमसीसी सादर केलेले काही बदल प्रशंसनीय आहेत,’ असे म्हटले आहे.
