कपिल देव यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली भारताच्या 1983 च्या विश्वचषक विजेत्या संघाने विमानात आपला 40 वा वर्धापन दिन (1983 40th anniversary) साजरा केला. 25 जून 1983 रोजी लॉर्ड्सवर भारताने वेस्ट इंडिजचा 43 धावांनी पराभव केला. संघाने आपला वर्धापनदिन एका खास पद्धतीने साजरा केला. संघातील सर्व खेळाडूंनी सुमारे 35000 फूट उंचीवर हवेत आनंद साजरा केला. 1983 च्या विश्वचषकाचा भारतीय क्रिकेट नायक अदानी समूहाच्या 'जीतेंगे हम' मोहिमेचा भाग होण्यासाठी प्रवास करत होते. भारतीय क्रिकेट चाहत्यांनी एकत्र येऊन टीम इंडियाच्या भूतकाळातील नायकांना साजरे करावे आणि त्याच वेळी टीम इंडियाला पुढे नेले.
