मुंबई पोलिसांच्या आर्थिक गुन्हे शाखेने (EOW) शनिवारी न्यू इंडिया कोऑपरेटिव्ह बँकेचे GM हितेश मेहता यांना ताब्यात घेतले आहे. आदल्या दिवशी मेहता यांच्यावर बँकेतून 122 कोटी रुपयांची उधळपट्टी केल्याप्रकरणी गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला होता. रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया (आरबीआय) ने आर्थिक अनियमिततेवर बँकेच्या कामकाजावर कठोर निर्बंध लादल्यानंतर दोनच दिवसांनी त्यांची अटक झाली आहे.
