उपराष्ट्रपती पदाच्या निवडणूकीसाठी विरोधकांकडून Margaret Alva यांना उमेदवारी जाहीर करण्यात आली आहे. ही उमेदवारी 17 विरोधकांनी मिळून दिली आहे. शिवसेना, माकपा सह 17 पक्ष एकत्र आले आहेत. यापूर्वी त्यांनी राजस्थान, उत्तराखंड राज्याच्या राज्यपालपदी काम त्यांनी केले आहे.
