सुधारित सुरक्षा परिषदेत कायमस्वरूपी सदस्यत्वासाठी भारताच्या मागणीला युनायटेड किंगडम आणि फ्रान्सनी आपला पाठिंबा दिला आहे. अशाप्रकारे युनायटेड नेशन्स सिक्युरिटी कौन्सिल (UNSC) मध्ये कायमस्वरूपी सदस्यत्वासाठी भारताच्या मागणीला व्हेटो सदस्यांकडून जोरदार पाठिंबा मिळाला आहे. नवीन कायमस्वरूपी जागांच्या निर्मितीसाठी भारतासोबतच जर्मनी, जपान आणि ब्राझीललाही पाठिंबा मिळाला आहे. भारत डिसेंबर 2022 मध्ये संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषदेचे अध्यक्षपद भूषवत आहे.
