SC on Ending 26-week Pregnancy: 'गर्भाला मारू शकत नाही त्याचेही अधिकार सुरक्षित ठेवणं गरजेचं'; सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाची टीपण्णी
9 ऑक्टोबर रोजी सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने दोन मुलांची आई असलेल्या, नैराश्याने ग्रासलेल्या महिलेला ती भावनिक, आर्थिक आणि मानसिकदृष्ट्या तिसरे मूल वाढवण्याच्या स्थितीत नसल्याची नोंद घेऊन तिला मेडिकल टर्मिनेशची परवानगी दिली होती. .
सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने गरोदर मातेप्रमाणे गर्भाच्या हक्कांना देखील सुरक्षित आणि संतुलित ठेवण्याची गरज असल्याचं म्हटलं आहे. सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने बाळाला मारले जाऊ शकत नसल्याचं म्हटलं आहे. एका विवाहित महिलेच्या 26 व्या आठवड्यात मेडिकल टर्मिनेशच्या प्रकारणामध्ये सुनावणी करताना कोर्टाने ही टीप्पणी केली आहे. या महिलेला आधीच 2 मुलं आहे. तिला तिसर्या मुलाचा भार उचलण्याची मानसिक, शारिरीक तयारी नसल्याचं तिनं म्हटलं आहे. नैराश्याचा सामना करत असलेली ही महिला गर्भपाताची याचना कोर्टासमोर करत होती.
