मेहुल चोक्सी आणि त्याचा पुतण्या नीरव मोदी यांच्यावर सरकारी पंजाब नॅशनल बँकेतून सुमारे 13,500 कोटी रुपयांचा गैरव्यवहार केल्याचा आरोप आहे. हे आरोप समोर आल्यानंतर दोघेही देश सोडून पळून गेले आहेत.
पीएनबी बॅंक कर्ज घोटाळ्यातील आरोपी मेहुल चोकसीच्या बेल्जियम मधील अटकेच्या वृत्तावर बेल्यियमने पुष्टी केली आहे. यावेळी त्यांनी भारत सरकारने प्रत्यार्पणाची विनंती केल्याचीही माहिती दिली आहे. ही अटक 12 एप्रिलला झाली असून सध्या तो पोलिसांच्या ताब्यात असल्याचं त्यांनी सांगितलं आहे. हिरे व्यापारी मेहुल चोक्सी आणि त्याचा पुतण्या नीरव मोदी यांच्यावर सरकारी पंजाब नॅशनल बँकेतून सुमारे 13,500 कोटी रुपयांचा गैरव्यवहार केल्याचा आरोप आहे. हे आरोप समोर आल्यानंतर दोघेही देश सोडून पळून गेले आहेत.
