अलीकडेच संरक्षण मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह यांनी एक मोठे विधान केले होते की, उत्तरेकडील भारताचा विकास प्रवास पाकव्याप्त काश्मीर (पीओके) च्या गिलगिट आणि बाल्टिस्तान भागात पोहोचल्यानंतरच पूर्ण होईल. आता याबाबत भारतीय लष्कराकडून एक वक्तव्य आले आहे. संरक्षण मंत्र्यांच्या या वक्तव्यावर उत्तरेकडील लष्कराचे कमांडर लेफ्टनंट जनरल उपेंद्र द्विवेदी म्हणाले की, जोपर्यंत भारतीय लष्कराचा संबंध आहे, तो भारत सरकारने दिलेल्या कोणत्याही आदेशाचे पालन करेल. जनरल उपेंद्र द्विवेदी म्हणाले की, दोन्ही देशांच्या हितासाठी युद्धविराम समजूतदारपणा कधीही मोडणार नाही याची काळजी घेण्यासाठी लष्कर सदैव तत्पर आहे, परंतु कोणत्याही वेळी तो मोडला गेला तर आम्ही त्यांना चोख प्रत्युत्तर देऊ.
