लोकसभेत लेखी उत्तरात माहिती देताना गृह राज्यमंत्री नित्यानंद राय (Nityanand Rai) म्हणाले की, भारतात 2018 ते 2022 या पाच वर्षांत पूर्वीच्या राज्यात 761 दहशतवादी हल्ले झाले. ज्यामध्ये जम्मू-काश्मीरमध्ये एकूण 174 नागरिकांचा मृत्यू झाला होता. मात्र, याच काळात केंद्रशासित प्रदेशात 626 चकमकींमध्ये 35 नागरिक मारले गेले. या काळात 308 सुरक्षा जवानही शहीद झाले. यादरम्यान सुरक्षा दलांनी चोख प्रत्युत्तर देताना 1002 दहशतवाद्यांना ठार केले.
