नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांच्या जयंती निमित्त अंदमान निकोबार येथील २१ बेटांच्या नामांतराचा सोहळा पार पडला. तसेच पंतप्रधान मोदींच्या हस्ते नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस द्विपवर बांधण्यात येणाऱ्या नेताजींना समर्पित राष्ट्रीय स्मारकाच्या मॉडेलचेही अनावरण करण्यात आले. तसेच नामांतर करण्यात आलेल्या बेटांना २१ परमवीर चक्र पुरस्कार विजेत्यांची नाव देण्यात आली आहेत. तरी अंदमान-निकोबार येथील बेटांना २१ परमवीर चक्र पुरस्कार दिल्याबाबत बॉलीवूड अभिनेते आणि दिग्दर्शकांनी सरकारच्या निर्णयाचं कौतुक केलं आहे.
