Rashid Khan Passes Away: ज्येष्ठ गायक रशिद खान यांचे निधन; कॅन्सरशी झुंज ठरली अपयशी
रशिद खान यांना पद्मभूषण पुरस्कारानेही गौरवण्यात आले होते. कोलकाता च्या मुख्यमंत्री ममता बॅनर्जींनी त्यांच्या निधनावर शोक व्यक्त केला आहे.
रामपुर-सहसवान घराण्याचे गायक रशिद खान यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 55 वर्षांचे होते. कॅन्सरशी झुंज सुरू असताना cerebral attack नंतर त्यांची प्रकृती खालावली होती. त्यांच्यावर कोलकाता मध्ये रूग्णालयात उपचार सुरू असताना त्यांना ऑक्सिजन आणि व्हेंटिलेटर सपोर्टवर ठेवण्यात आले होते. मात्र आज त्यांची प्राणज्योत मालवली आहे. रशिद खान यांच्या अकाली निधनाच्या वृत्ताने त्यांचे चाहते आणि कलाक्षेत्रातील त्यांची सहयोगी देखील हळहळले आहेत. उत्तर प्रदेशातील बदायुन मध्ये रशीद खान यांचा जन्म झाला होता. ते उस्ताद गुलाम मुस्तफा खान यांचे पुतणे होते. घरातच गाण्याचा वारसा असलेल्या रशिद खान यांनी उस्ताद निसार हुसैन खान यांच्याकडून गाण्याचे सुरूवातीचे धडे गिरवले होते.
