तारिक फतेह यांचा जन्म 20 नोव्हेंबर 1949 रोजी कराचीमध्ये झाला. त्यांचे कुटुंब बॉम्बे (आता मुंबई) येथील रहिवासी होते, परंतु फाळणीनंतर ते कराचीला गेले होते.
पाकिस्तानात जन्मलेले आणि प्रसिद्ध लेखक तारिक फताह यांचे आज दीर्घ आजाराने निधन झाले. त्यांचे वय 73 वर्षे होते. तारिक फताह यांची मुलगी नताशा फताहने ट्विट करून याबाबत माहिती दिली आहे. नताशा फताहने तिचे वडील तारिक फताह यांचे अनेक फोटो ट्विटरवर शेअर केले आहेत. नताशाने लिहिले की, 'पंजाबचा सिंह, भारताचा मुलगा, कॅनडा प्रेमी, खरा वक्ता, न्यायासाठी लढणारा, दलितांचा आवाज तारिक फताह यांचे निधन झाले. त्यांच्यावर प्रेम करणाऱ्या सर्वांसोबत त्यांनी आपली क्रांती चालू ठेवली.' तारिक फताह यांचा जन्म 20 नोव्हेंबर 1949 रोजी कराचीमध्ये झाला. त्यांचे कुटुंब बॉम्बे (आता मुंबई) येथील रहिवासी होते, परंतु फाळणीनंतर ते कराचीला गेले होते. त्यांनी कराची विद्यापीठातून बायोकेमिस्ट्रीचे शिक्षण घेतले, पण नंतर ते पत्रकारितेत आले.
