मेक्सिकोमध्ये गुरुवारी उघड गोळीबाराची (Mexico Shooting) घटना समोर आली आहे. मेक्सिको सिटी हॉलमध्ये बंदुकधारींनी केलेल्या गोळीबारात महापौरांसह 18 जणांचा मृत्यू झाला. घटनास्थळी उपस्थित लोकांच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, बुधवारी दुपारी अचानक बंदुकधारी गुरेरो राज्यातील सॅन मिगुएल टोटोलापनच्या सिटी हॉलमध्ये पोहोचला आणि त्याने लोकांवर गोळीबार करण्यास सुरुवात केली. गोळीबारात ठार झालेल्यांमध्ये महापौर कोनराडो मेंडोझा, त्यांचे वडील आणि माजी महापौर जुआन मेंडोझा तसेच सात पोलिसांचा समावेश आहे. पोलिसांनी खबरदारी घेत हल्ल्यानंतर संपूर्ण शहरात नाकाबंदी करून आरोपींना पकडण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, तरीही त्यांना अद्याप अटक करण्यात आलेली नाही. पोलिस डावपेच आखून गुन्हा ठरवत आहेत.
