कुस्तीपटी विनेश फोगाट ने हरियाणा विधानसभा निवडणूकीमध्ये विजय मिळवत आमदारकी मिळवली आहे. विनेशने भाजपाच्या Yogesh Kumar चा पराभव केला आहे. विनेशला कॉंग्रेस कडून आमदारकीचं तिकीट देण्यात आले होते. भारतीय कुस्ती महासंघाचे माजी प्रमुख आणि भाजपचे माजी खासदार ब्रिजभूषण शरण सिंग यांच्याविरुद्ध लैंगिक छळविरोधी निषेधाच्या भूमिकेनंतर फोगट अधिक प्रकाशझोकात आली होती.
