यापूर्वी 2009 आणि 2014 मध्ये लोकसभा निवडणुकीमुळे आयपीएलचे परदेशात आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.
आयपीएल 2024 च्या 17 व्या पर्वाची तारीख समोर आली आहे. लीगचे अध्यक्ष अरुण धुमळ यांनी मंगळवारी प्रसारमाध्यमांना ही माहिती दिली. यावेळी देशात लोकसभा निवडणुकाही होणार आहेत. हे लक्षात घेऊन ही तारीख जाहीर करण्यात आली आहे. लोकसभा निवडणुकीदरम्यान आयपीएल 2024 चा हंगाम फक्त भारतातच खेळला जाणार असल्याचे स्पष्ट झाले आहे. यापूर्वी 2009 आणि 2014 मध्ये लोकसभा निवडणुकीमुळे आयपीएलचे परदेशात आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.
